Drive-Thru the Magic First in 2021!
The Austin Trail of Lights is our city’s most beloved and longest running holiday tradition. On this 57th year, guests will enjoy the lights from the comfort of their vehicles once again. Ticketed and timed entry rolling through the Trail in 2021 is required for everyone to help ensure a magical experience for all.
Hosted by the Trail of Lights Foundation, the annual event in Zilker Park celebrates the unique spirit and people that make Austin the place we call home. Enjoy more than 2 million lights, 70 displays and lighted tunnels, 90 lighted trees, and holiday magic to create treasured memories!
- One vehicle pass is required for vehicles with up to 9 passengers.
- If vehicle capacity exceeds 9 seats and/or is 20'-27' in length, two vehicle admission passes are required (even if 10 or more people are not present).
- Only passenger vehicles will be admitted and must have a seat and seatbelt for each passenger.
- Street-legal vehicles less than 27’ in length are welcome at the event.
Premiere Night Vehicle Admission
Get an exclusive look at the 2021 Drive-thru experience at Trail! Premiere Night passes are ideal for those who want to roll through the Trail on the first night, and on a night where capacity is limited. Premiere Night ticket holders will receive a goodie box for the ride and a commemorative 2021 Austin Trail of Lights gift! Plus, your support of the Trail of Lights Foundation contributes to the longevity of the Austin Trail of Lights.
Premiere Night includes:
- Exclusive Access to the Austin Trail of Lights – before general public opening
- (1) Box of festive cookies and bottled water
- (1) Commemorative 2021 Austin Trail of Lights gift
A Premiere Night vehicle admission pass is required for drive-thru admission. Vehicle admission ticket is valid for one vehicle only at the designated ticketed time.
The festive box of goodies will be issued to your vehicle prior to entering the Trail to enjoy during your visit!
Premiere Night Vehicle Admission Pass times are 5:45pm | 7:00pm | 8:00pm | 9:00pm | 9:45pm
Fun Run Registration
Experience a reimagined Fun Run in Downtown Austin this year, to enjoy virtually and on your own time.

- (1) Access to a festive and fun 3-mile course around Downtown Austin landmarks

Fun Run registration does not include vehicle entry to the Austin Trail of Lights, a separate vehicle admission pass is required. Team discounts not available for Fun Run registrations this year.
You can pick up your Fun Run swag bag containing your Fun Run t-shirt and bib during packet pick-up. Location and dates/times to be determined.

2021 Austin Trail of Lights entry is available via Drive Thru Vehicle Admission Passes only. No pedestrian access to the Austin Trail of Lights, or other type of transportation options are permitted (such as bikes, scooters, etc). Please remain in your vehicle. All sales are final ~ no refunds (unless provided by RefundProtect or Event Protect) or exchanges. This event is Rain or Shine barring any extreme weather or city park closures. This pass grants a revocable license to the bearer and bearer may be removed at any time for any reason. The resale or attempted resale of this pass at a price higher than that appearing hereon is grounds for seizure of the pass and cancellation without compensation. The holder assumes all risk or danger incidental to the attraction whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to, the attraction. Rain policy: Tickets for outdoor events are purchased at risk of inclement weather. In general, this ticket will not be replaced, refunded, or exchanged unless the event is canceled or postponed, or you have opted for refundable booking protection.

Event Protect is the industry standard in event cancellation for Primary Ticket Agents, Secondary Ticket Agents, Events, Travel Package Providers, Venues and Sports Teams. Seeing the Event Protect trademark logo means that if the event is canceled / postponed / abandoned or curtailed due to circumstances outside of the Event Organizer’s control, Event Protect will provide each ticket holder with a refund directly to his or her chosen bank account, no matter the financial state of the Event Organizer or Ticket Agent.
